Notes on using Internet Fax/PC-FAX functions
The following conditions are required to exist in order to use the Internet Fax and PC-FAX functions under
network connection.
- The machine is connected to the network. (required)
The machine can be used over a TCP/IP network. First, connect the cable for connecting to the network.
For details, refer to page 4-4. In order to use this machine on a network, settings such as the IP address of
the machine must be specified. For details, refer to the [User's Guide Administrator Operations].
Notes on using Internet Fax functions
The following describes the precautions for using the Internet Fax functions.
- The following environment is required to use the Internet Fax function.
– The machine is connected to the network, capable of E-mail communications.
- When an E-mail message is sent, the attachment file may be broken depending on the network status.
Make sure the attachment file of the document is not broken after being sent.
- Even if the transmission result screen or the result area of a communication report indicates "----", due
to a problem in an Internet pathway, the E-mail message may not be delivered to the recipient. "----"
indicates that the E-mail message was successfully delivered to the server.
