Indicates the currently selected brush color.
Color Select button.
Click to display the Color palette and choose a brush
color.
Transparency
Indicates the currently defined transparency.

Drag to define transparency.
Brush type indicator
Shows currently selected brush type and size.

Click to display available brush types and sizes. (See below.)
