ImageMixer is a powerful application when it comes to generating movies in that it
allows you to create movies in MPEG1 format, a hallmark of which is that the only
visual media which actually needs to be rewritten to disk are those portions in
which transition effects or titles appear. Since the remaining portions do not need
to be rewritten in this way, they experience no deterioration of image quality. As
for sound media, they are completely re-encoded.
