Setting the Bluetooth

You can set the Bluetooth
®
function with the following items displayed on the
Preferences screen for [Bluetooth], and select [Enabled] next to
[Bluetooth:].
You can change your device name cache settings by tapping (Menu) on
the Preferences screen for [Bluetooth].
Tap [Enable device name cache] or [Disable device name cache].
Device name You can enter a name for your CLIÉ handheld. A device
name is required for each CLIÉ handheld to be identified.
You can display the
Edit Device Name dialog box by
tapping the square box.

Device Address You can display the device address (identification number
of Bluetooth

device) of your CLIÉ handheld.
The device address cannot be edited.
Enable device name
cache The list of device names registered on your CLIÉ
handheld is displayed. The most current device names
might not be displayed. (The name list will be updated
after you connect to the Bluetooth
®
compatible device).
Disable device name
cache Another Bluetooth
®
compatible device will be detected
whether or not that device name is registered on your
CLIÉ handheld. Discovery will be slower, but the most
current device names will be displayed.
