Transferring data from another CLIÉ™

Notes
• Memory Stick Backup cannot transfer data of your CLIÉ handheld to another
CLIÉ handheld.
• You cannot transfer applications that you installed. You need to reinstall them to your
CLIÉ handheld.
• Some third party applications may operate only on your old CLIÉ handheld. For
details, contact the application manufacturer.
Transferring data using CLIE Organizer for PC
For data of the basic Palm OS
®
applications such as Date Book, Address
Book , To Do List , and Memo Pad , you can use CLIE Organizer for PC
to transfer data from your old CLIÉ handheld to your new CLIÉ handheld, by
exporting and importing data.
Tip
You can also transfer data using CLIE Organizer for PC with a previous version of
Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ you have already installed on your conputer.
Note
To transfer data from your old CLIÉ handheld to your new CLIÉ handheld, use CLIE
Organizer for PC supplied with your new CLIÉ handheld, and perform the
HotSync
®
operation with your old CLIÉ handheld. In this case, it requires that the user
names of both your CLIÉ handhelds is not the same.
