Transferring data from another CLIÉ™ handheld
Transferring data using Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ
For data of the basic Palm OS
®
applications such as Date Book, Address
Book , To Do List , and Memo Pad , you can use Palm™ Desktop for
CLIÉ to transfer data from your old CLIÉ handheld to your new CLIÉ
handheld, by exporting and importing data.
Note
To transfer data from your old CLIÉ handheld to your new CLIÉ handheld, use Palm™
Desktop for CLIÉ supplied with your new CLIÉ handheld, and perform the HotSync
®
operation with your old CLIÉ handheld. In this case, it requires that the user names of
both your CLIÉ handhelds is not the same.
Exporting data from your old CLIÉ handheld to your
computer
You can export the data of Date Book , Address Book , To Do List , and
Memo Pad to your computer from your old CLIÉ handheld.
Note
Proceed as follows, after installing Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ supplied with your new
CLIÉ handheld to your computer.
If the other CLIÉ handheld is new, do not delete the old
Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ
from your computer, but install (overwrite) the new Palm™ Desktop for CLIÉ
(supplied with the new CLIÉ handheld) on your computer.

perform the HotSync
®
operation.
