Before you begin filling up the circuit with coolant:
You have the choice between two strategies at this point:
1.
You can remove your motherboard, and let the water-block(s) hang from the tubes while filling the circuit. This would guarantee
absolute safety to your components in case of a catastrophic leak.
2.
If you feel that your installation is sound, simply leave the components installed, and proceed with the next step. Since your
electronic components are not electrically connected, a minor spill of liquid is not necessarily a catastrophe. Simply wipe the spill off
the component, and use a blow drier to evaporate the moisture. It is however always good practice to let component that have been
exposed to moisture dry overnight before using them.
A good way to test your circuit for leaks without filling it out with liquid:
close the main valve
Connect the 2 precut tubes that came with your kit to the inlet and outlet of the fill & bleed kit, then open one valve, and
close the other. Suck vigorously on the open line to create a vacuum in the circuit (see note*). If the vacuum persists,
then your system is air tight, therefore leak proofed
Note *: the PVC tubing we use is food grade; as long as you clean the extremity properly, it is safe to put in your mouth.
For this next step, you will need to run the pump. So, it is necessary to
TEMPORARILY
connect the L wire from the A/C socket to the N\C
position on the relay switch. This bypasses the switch, allowing the pump to run as soon as you plug it into an A/C outlet. Do not forget to
reconnect to N\O once done, or the pump will shut off when you turn computer on instead of running !!!
Fill and bleed operations, step by step:
Your kit comes with a 2 Oz (60ml) bottle of Swiftech’s specially
formulated HydrX concentrated coolant. The product should be
mixed with demineralized water only. Simply empty the
concentrated coolant into a 33 fl oz (1l) plastic bottle, and complete
filling with your distilled water. Your coolant is ready.
Close the main valve, and open both fill and bleed valves.
Connect the 2 precut tubes that came with your kit to inlet and
outlet of the fill & bleed kit. The extremity of the inlet tube should be
pushed all the way down the bottom of the feed bottle.
Hold the feed bottle above the computer, and start gently
sucking on the outlet tube. The coolant will start flowing down the
inlet and fill-up the circuit by simple gravity.
