Port-Based VLAN Configuration
A port-based VLAN is a group of ports on the switch that form a logical
Ethernet segment. This type of VLAN is independent of the header
information including VLAN tags in a frame.
You can create and delete port-based VLANs by following the procedures
in the following sections:
 “Create a Port-Based VLAN”
 “Modify a Port-Based VLAN” on page 174
 “Delete a Port-Based VLAN” on page 175
Create a Port-
Based VLAN
To create a port-based VLAN, perform the following procedure:
1. From the main menu on the left side of the page, select Bridge.
The Bridge folder expands.
2. From the Bridge folder, select VLAN.
The VLAN folder expands.
3. From the VLAN folder, select Port-Based VLAN.
The Port-Based VLAN Page is displayed. See Figure 61.

4. Assign a VLAN Index by entering a VLAN ID in the VLAN Index field.
Choose a value between 1 and 52.
