IPv4 Large Send
Offload

Normally, the TCP segmentation is
done by the protocol stack. When
you enable the Large Send
Offload property, the TCP
segmentation can be done by the
network adapter. The default
setting for this property is Enabled.
This property is only available for
Broadcom NetXtreme adapters.

1. In Microsoft Windows, right-

click the Network Adapter in
Network Connections and then
click Properties.

2. Click the Configure button and

then the Advanced tab.

3. Set the desired IPv4 Large

Send Offload value.

IPv6 Checksum
Offload

Normally, the checksum function is
computed by the protocol stack.
When you select one of the
Checksum Offload property values
(other than None), the checksum
can be computed by the network
adapter.

Rx Enabled - Enables receive
TCP/IP/UDP checksum
offload.

Tx Enabled - Enables transmit
TCP/IP/UDP checksum
offload.

Tx/Rx Enabled - (default).
Enables transmit and receive
TCP/IP/UDP checksum
offload.

None - Disables checksum
offload.
