Connect a Device
1. From the Home screen, touch Apps ➔
Settings ➔ .
2. Touch More networks ➔ Tethering and Mobile
hotspot.
3. Touch Mobile hotspot. Touch ON/OFF to enable
Mobile hotspot.
4. If the other device is not in your Allowed devices list,
tap ➔ Allow all devices.
5. On the other device, activate Wi-Fi and scan for Wi-Fi
hotspots. Select the name of your phone and enter your
Hotspot password (if required).
Note: Follow the other device's instructions for activating
Wi-Fi and connecting to your phone.
Allowed Devices
You can limit connections to your Hotspot to only those
devices in your Allowed Devices list.
1. From the Home screen, touch Apps ➔
Settings ➔ .
2. Touch More networks ➔ Tethering and Mobile
hotspot.
3. Touch Mobile hotspot. Touch ON/OFF to enable
Mobile hotspot.
4. Touch Allowed devices to view the Allowed Devices
list.
5. To add a new device to the Allowed devices list:
• Touch Add device.
• Enter the device's name and MAC address.
6. To remove a device from the Allowed devices list:
• Touch Delete.
• Touch each device you want to delete, or tap Select
all.
• Touch Delete.
Note: Using your phone as a mobile hotspot consumes battery
power and uses data service. While Mobile Hotspot is
active, your phone’s applications will use the Mobile
Hotspot data service. Roaming while using your phone
as a mobile hotspot will incur extra data charges.
