Transfer Brake Assembly
Materials:
• Hardware Packet C
• Parts K (2), LL (1), LR (1)
• 7/16” wrench (1)
• #1 Phillips head screwdriver (1)
1. Turn the bed assembly upright and lock all four
casters by pressing down on the lock on each
caster (Fig. 3-A).
Turning the bed upright
requires two people.
NOTE: The bed platform cannot be raised,
lowered or articulated unless the power cord
is plugged into an appropriate grounded AC
electrical outlet. Locate the control pad in the
packaging under the bed frame to raise and
articulate the frame.
NOTE: Raise the head of the bed for easier access
(Fig. 3-B) with the bed control (Fig. 3-C).
2. Align the two holes on the Transfer Brake (Part
K) with the two holes on the head end of the
bed frame.
NOTE: Make sure the holes in the brake are
aligned with the holes in the bed frame (Fig. 3-D).
3. Insert the screw (Hardware Packet C) into the
threaded hole that fits directly into the transfer
brake (Fig. 3-E). Use a screwdriver to tighten (Fig.
3-F).
