Upgrading the OmniBook
You can upgrade or add to the OmniBook system by changing or installing certain
components.
In this section you’ll learn how to
• Find your system software version and amount of memory.
• Add memory to the OmniBook.
• Remove the hard drive.
• Install a new hard drive.
To find the system software version and memory size
• Click Start, HP User Tools, Information 2, OmniBook System Information.
The software version and amount of memory are displayed.
To add memory to the OmniBook
The OmniBook memory slots accommodate two memory-expansion boards. You
can install a memory-expansion board to increase the total amount of memory. To
