6. Remove the PCI riser cage (on page 21 ).
7. Remove the expansion slot cover from the PCI riser board.
8. Install the expansion board.
o If installing a half length expansion board, install the expansion board into the slot until it sits firmly.
o If installing a full length full height expansion board, remove the low profile bracket, and then install
the expansion board into the slot until it sits firmly.
9. Install the PCI riser cage (on page 22 ).
IMPORTANT: The server does not power up if the PCI riser board assembly is not seated
properly.
10. Connect all internal or external cabling to the expansion boards.
11. Install the processor air baffle (on page 20 ).
12. Install the access panel (on page 19 ).
13. Slide the server into the rack.
