Server Image Copy and Storage Mirroring
Because Server Image Copy is based on core Storage Mirroring technology, it provides some of the
same functionality as Storage Mirroring. Review the following table to help you understand how
Server Image Copy compares with Storage Mirroring.

You have many resources available to you when using Server Image Copy.

Operating System and application documentation—Make sure that you have complete
documentation for your operating system and your applications.

Storage Mirroring documentation—If you are using Storage Mirroring with the Server Image
Copy Option, check the Storage Mirroring User’s Guide for the list of all Storage Mirroring
documentation.

Readme—Server Image Copy includes a readme file which contains any last-minute information.
This file is called Server Image Copy readme.html and is located in the \DblTake\docs directory
of the product CD and in the root of the installation directory you selected during the installation.

