4. Right-click on the Virtual Machine, and then click All HP 3PAR Recovery Manager
Actions
→Create Recovery Set. The Create Recovery Set page appears.

a. Specify the Recovery Set name.
NOTE:
•
Recovery Set name is optional. However, if you do not specify a name for the
Recovery Set, then the set name is identified by the time stamp.
•
The Recovery Set name must not exceed 32 characters.
b. You may select any of the following options, if applicable:
•
Enable expirable Recovery Sets—To set the snapshot expiration.
•
Retain Recovery Sets—To set the snapshot retention period.
•
Create Recovery Sets with application consistency—To create application consistent
snapshots.
5. Click Create. You are prompted to confirm the creation of Recovery Set.
6. Click Yes to create a Recovery Set. The Recovery Set creation task is submitted and started.
NOTE:
•
Information regarding the Recovery Set creation process is displayed in the Recent Tasks
pane.
•
After creating the Recovery Set, an entry appears in the Recovery Sets tab under the
Related Objects tab.
NOTE: You need to perform a similar procedure to create Recovery Sets for a datastore.
