5 Logging on and working with VMware vSphere Web
Client
The HP 3PAR Recovery Manager for VMware vSphere provides management of Recovery Set,
Remote Recovery Configuration of HP 3PAR Recovery Sets, and recovery of Virtual Machines and
datastores. For more information on virtual volume mapping, see HP Insight Control for VMware
vCenter Server Product Documentation. This chapter explains how to log on to VMware vSphere
Web Client and view StoreServ information used by HP 3PAR Recovery Manager.
NOTE:
The VMware vSphere Web Client supports Microsoft Internet Explorer as the Windows
default browser.
NOTE:
When configured with secure access to the vCenter Server, the Security Information
message, This page contains both secure and non-secure items, appears.
To enable the display of secure and non-secure content:
1.
Click Start
→Settings→Control Panel→Network and Internet Connections→Internet Options.
2.
Select Security, and click Custom level.
The Security Settings – Internet Zone screen appears.
3.
Navigate to Miscellaneous and click Display mixed content, and then select Enable.
4.
Click OK.

StoreServ information
To start the HP 3PAR Recovery Manager for VMware vCenter:
1.
Click Start
→All Programs→VMware→VMware vSphere Web Client→vSphere Web Client.
The VMware vSphere Web Client login screen appears.
