time Escape is pressed, the display moves a menu level. When the Main menu is visible,
pressing Escape once returns you to the Default screen.

To select a submenu, move the
to the desired line by using the
and
scroll
buttons. Press Enter to confirm the selection and display the submenu. The

of the fourth line of the Main menu means that there are one or more additional options
that can be reached by scrolling, using the
button. The options are:
•
Load/Unload
•
Unlock Door
•
Show Status Menu
•
Maintenance Menu
•
Configure Menu
•
Show History Menu
•
Security Menu.
The submenus that correspond to each of the Main menu selections are described next.
Load/Unload
The Load/Unload submenu is described later in this section under "Loading and
Unloading Tapes."
Unlock Door
If you scroll to Unlock Door and press Enter, the magazine door swings open.
Note.
When an
is seen on line 1 or an
on line 4 of the display, you can scroll up
and down to reveal more options.
Note.
If the message “Magazine Locked” appears, the NonStop Himalaya software has
locked the magazine. Exiting the backup or HSM software usually releases the lock. In
the event of failure with the Himalaya server, the server software will cycle the power to
the 5257ACL to release the lock.
