Manage Catalogs
You can refresh catalogs in the Object tree, or you can perform catalog-
management functions such as alter, create, alter, drop, and upgrade
catalogs.
If the catalog is not already selected, click on the Catalog icon in the
Object Tree. The following buttons in the Object window are highlighted:
Refresh, Create, Alter, Drop and Upgrade. Perform one of the following:

To retrieve the objects from the catalog and update the Object
Tree, click on Refresh. When the refresh operation is completed, a
completion message is displayed.
This operation may take a long time depending on the
number of objects in the catalog and the processing load on the
node.

To perform any catalog-management function, click on the
appropriate button at the bottom of the window. Refer to Chapter
11, Managing Catalogs, for more information.
Manage Tables
You can monitor disk-space usage of a table, or perform table-management
functions such as create, alter, drop, move, rename, statistics, invoke, help
text, table comments, column comments.

If the Table icon under the Catalog icon which contains the table is
not already selected, click on the Table icon. The names of all of the
tables in the catalog are displayed.

Select one of the table and right click on it, and the following buttons
in the Object window are highlighted: Monitor, Create, Alter, Drop,
Move, Rename, Statistics, Invoke, Help Text, Table Comments, and
Column Comments.

Click on one of the following:

To monitor the table’s disk-space usage, click on the Monitor
button. The Object Monitoring window is displayed. Refer to
Chapter 6, Monitoring Disk-Space Usage, for more information.

To perform any table-management function, click on the
appropriate button at the bottom of the window. Refer to Chapter
12, Managing Tables, for more information.
