3. Click the V-VOL tab. The V-VOL pane appears.

NOTE: In the V-VOL pane, you can create or delete V-VOLs for a V-VOL group. To create or delete a
V-VOL by itself, use Volume Management. You need another license to use Volume Management. For more
information about Volume Management, see the HP StorageWorks LUN Configuration and Security
Manager User Guide for the XP10000/XP12000.
The V-VOL pane displays the following items:
• V-VOL group tree (left area of the pane)
V-VOL groups in the disk array appear in the tree. The following icons appear in the tree.
• Pop-up menu
When you select icons in the V-VOL group tree and right-click, a pop-up menu appears.

Command Function
New V-VOL Group Opens the New V-VOL Group pane ( Figure 13 ). You can select this command only when
you right-click a disk array icon.
Delete V-VOL Group Deletes the V-VOL group and V-VOLs in that V-VOL group. You can select this command
only when you right-click a V-VOL group icon.
