Console requirements

Operating system—The Storage Mirroring Data Migration console can be run
from a physical or virtual machine running Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows
XP, or any of the source server operating systems listed above.

Microsoft .NET— Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.5 Service Pack 1 is
required on the console. This version is not included in the .NET version 4.0
release. Therefore, even if you have .NET version 4.0 installed, you will also need
version 3.5.1. You can install this version from the Storage Mirroring Data
Migration CD, via a web connection during the Storage Mirroring Data Migration
installation, or from a copy you have obtained manually from the
Microsoft web
site .
