patterns (such as access and modification times), file size, and file type. Rules can be constrained
to operate on files owned by specific users and groups and to specific paths. Logical operators
can be used to combine directives.
The Tiering Policy dialog box displays the existing tiering policy for the file system.
To add a new tiering policy, click New. On the New Data Tiering Policy dialog box, select the
source and destination tiers. Initially RuleSet1 is empty. Select a rule name, and the other fields
will appear according to the rule you selected.
NOTE: LDAP and AD users cannot be selected from the menu under RuleSet. If you want to
include users in a ruleset, you can select only local users.
Click + to specify the and/or operators and another rule. Click New to open another ruleset. The
following example shows two new rulesets.
