World Clock

To ensure that your shots will have the correct local date and time when you

travel abroad, simply register the destination in advance and switch to that

time zone. This convenient feature eliminates the need to change the Date/

Time setting manually.

Before using the world clock, be sure to set the date and time and your

home time zone, as described in Setting the Date and Time (

13).

Choose [Time Zone], and then press the

To set daylight saving time (1 hour

Lens Retraction Timing

The lens is normally retracted for safety about one minute after you press

the <

1> button in Shooting mode (

25). To have the lens retracted

immediately after you press the <

1> button, set the retraction timing to [0 sec.].

Choose [Lens Retract], and then choose

[0 sec.].

Using Eco Mode

This function allows you to conserve battery power in Shooting mode. When the

camera is not in use, the screen quickly darkens to reduce battery consumption.

The screen darkens when the camera is

not used for approximately two seconds;

approximately ten seconds after darkening,

the screen turns off. The camera turns off

after approximately three minutes of inactivity.

To activate the screen and prepare for

shooting when the screen is off but the lens

is still out, press the shutter button halfway.
