Accessing the ORION CE IHD Programming Software
IMPORTANT
Before programming the IHD, the IHD programming software must be installed on the Trimble Ranger. Refer to Part 1 of
this manual for instructions.
NOTE: Always power up the Trimble Ranger before connecting the IHD custom programming cable, and always exit the
IHD programming software before disconnecting the IHD custom programming cable.
1. Press the green power button on the keypad to power up the Trimble Ranger.
2. Connect the Trimble Ranger and the IHD using the custom programming cable as shown in Figures 13 and 14.
NOTE: Make sure the plastic tab has been removed from the IHD battery compartment before proceeding. For more
information, refer to "Product Description" on page 5.

3. Tap Start on the Trimble Ranger screen.
Result: The Start menu opens.
4. Tap Badger Field Applications to open the folder.
