ONDITION

Documents loaded into the currency cassette must be in “fit” condition if a high level of perfor-
mance (low reject and failure rate) is expected from the Cash Dispenser. “Fit” documents are
defined as those that do not possess any of the defects listed below:

Used Currency

“Fit” used currency does not possess any of the following defects:
Ü Sticky substances on the surface of the paper.

Ü Tears extending more than 1/2” from the edge of the currency.

Ü Tears, holes, or missing sections in the body of the currency.

Ü Tape on the surface of the currency used for repairing, patching or any other purpose.

Ü Staples, pins, or any other foreign objects attached to the currency.

Ü Corner folds of a size greater than 1/2” on either axis.

Ü Two or more sheets of currency joined by any means.

Ü Nearly new currency which has been excessively crumpled or crinkled.

New or Uncirculated Currency

“Fit” new or uncirculated currency does
not possess any of the following defects:

Ü All the conditions listed above for

used currency.

Ü Excessive bowing due to conditions of

packing and storing. Any curvature
greater than 1/8” is unacceptable. If
notes are bowed, the loading orientation
must be as shown if Figure 4-1.

Ü New or uncirculated currency must be

“burst” and fully separated prior to
loading into cassettes.

1. Open the Cash Dispenser security container via

the enclosure lock on the front of the unit. The
combination lock must then be opened to gain
access to the security container.

If the Cassette is to be loaded with bowed notes,
the direction of the bow must be as shown and not
exceed 1/8” (in a relaxed state).
