11. Turn off the engine and A/C system and inspect with the lamp while wearing the
glasses. Leaks will show with a bright fluorescent glow.
12. After the leaks are repaired, clean off the dye residue with GLO-AWAY and reinspect.
To find smaller leaks, operate the A/C system as much as possible over the next 24
to 48 hours. Reinspect with the lamp and clean again with GLO-AWAY.

When used properly, Fluoro-Lite ® and Dye-Lite ® dyes may remain safely in the
vehicle system until the host fluid (A/C compressor lubricant, oil, coolant, etc.)
is changed.
CLEANUP/REINSPECTION
After the leaks are repaired, clean the remaining dye from the leak sites with
GLO-AWAY™. Remaining dye could be mistaken for a leak. Check all areas
again with the lamp to make sure no dye remains. Then run the engine or sys-
tem for another 5 to 10 minutes and reinspect with the lamp to be sure that all
leaks have been repaired and no new leaks appear.

1. Mischen Sie den TP-3900 Farbstoff im richtigen Verhältnis mit Wasser und spritzen
Sie die Farbstoff-/Wasserlösung auf die Außenseite des Fahrzeugs, wo Sie das Leck
vermuten.
2. Setzen Sie die Schutzbrille auf und suchen Sie die Innenseite des Fahrzeugs mit der
Lampe nach Lecks ab.
3. Reinigen Sie alle Stellen mit GLO-AWAY.
* Nicht für Bremsflüssigkeit verwenden.
** Falls das Motorenöl sehr dunkel oder schmutzig ist, kann mehr Farbstoff verwendet werden,
damit ein helleres fluoreszierendes Glühen sichtbar wird. Oder führen Sie alternativ einen
Ölwechsel durch, bevor Sie den Farbstoff hinzugeben.
*** Bei der Überprüfung des Kraftstofftanks sollte der Tank weniger als 5 Gallonen (19 l)
Kraftstoff enthalten.
LECKORTUNG VON KLIMAANLAGEN
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch muss das Schlauchsystem des Farbstoffinjektors mit
TP-3840 Farbstoff gereinigt werden.
Dosierung = 1/4 oz (7,5 ml) TP-3840 auf 10 oz (300 ml) Kompressoröl. So
werden die Klimaanlagensysteme in den meisten Pkws und leichten Lkws
behandelt.
1. Stecken Sie den Verlängerungshalm in die Gewindeöffnung des Farbstoffinjektors.
Führen Sie das andere Ende des Halms in die Flasche mit TP-3840 Farbstoff ein.
2. Füllen Sie den Injektor bis zur Markierung “Prime Hose" (Hauptschlauch) mit Farbstoff,
indem Sie den Kolben langsam zurückziehen. Achten Sie darauf, dass der Halm dabei
im Farbstoff bleibt, um Luftblasen zu vermeiden.
3. Entnehmen Sie den Halm und schrauben Sie den Schlauch auf das Gewindeende des
Injektors.

Tracerline ® TIPS
• For best inspection results, use the TP-8620 in low-light conditions. Wear the
TP-9940 fluorescence-enhancing glasses provided to make the leaks clearly
visible.
• After the fluid system dye has circulated, inspect the system’s dipstick or fluid
port with the lamp to see the fluorescent glow. Add a small amount of dye if
needed to increase the glow. Additional dye will not harm the system.
• Use a mirror to check behind and under hard-to-reach areas to view leaks.
Wipe areas with a clean cloth and check the cloth with the lamp for the dye’s
glow.
• Before affixing the underhood label, mark the type of dye used and the date of
service.
2. Lassen Sie den Motor bzw. das System 5-10 min. laufen, damit der Farbstoff zirkuliert.
Bei kleineren Lecks ist u.U. eine längere Laufzeit notwendig.
3. Prüfen Sie das System mit der Lampe während Sie die Brille tragen. Lecks zeigen
sich anhand eines hellen fluoreszierenden Leuchtens.
4. Nachdem die Lecks repariert worden sind, wischen Sie die Farbstoffreste mit
GLO-AWAY ab und überprüfen Sie das System noch einmal.
