Batteries –– The COBRA™ TP-9350 multi-purpose borescope is pow-
ered by 4 AA alkaline batteries. The batteries are held within a remov-
able battery pack just beneath the battery door.
To replace batteries –– Remove the battery door with a Phillips screw-
driver. Tilt the pack up from the bottom of the handle and remove. Do
not put unnecessary strain on the wire leads and never pick up the
scope by the leads. Unclip the connector if required. Change out batter-
ies, reattach the connector and replace in reverse order.
Lighting –– The COBRA™ borescope is equipped with 2 service-free,
integrated solid-state LEDs (one UV and one white light). Press the
switch to the left for white light and to the right for UV. To turn off, press
the switch to the middle position.
NOTE: Please refer to "Cleaning and storage" for trouble-free service.
Eyepiece Focusing –– The eyepiece has been factory set to be in focus
and should need very little adjustment in the field. You should only need
to turn the eyepiece by several turns in either direction to be in focus. If
you feel resistance in adjustment, do not exert force but reverse the
direction. Continue until the image is in focus.

General Operation, Checks and Care
A. General borescope checks before and after each use
1. Before and after each use, check the COBRA™ borescope for
rips, tears and abrasions.
2. Check for proper operation of lighting. If dim or not lighting,
first replace the batteries.
3. Check for smooth rotation of the eyepiece.
B. Operation
1. Always exercise care when inserting and removing the shaft of
the borescope into and from the hole of the object you are
inspecting.
2. Try to predetermine the route and location of the area you are
inspecting. With this you can prebend the 10mm shaft in the
direction you require to facilitate viewing.
3. Never bend the shaft length tighter than 3" (7.6 cm) diameter.
4. Never expose the housing to water or liquids.
5. Never insert the shaft into hot locations greater than 158º F
(70º C).
6. Never use the borescope near moving parts such as gears, fan
blades or moving belts.

IMPORTANT
To properly position the inspection mirror, align and tilt the base against the
flat portion of the distal tip. Push it into place, making sure that the clip is
fully seated in the recessed section of the distal tip.
CAUTION
The inspection mirror is intended for external use only. In some
cases, the mirror can be dislodged and not easily retrieved. The user
takes full responsibility in these instances. Accordingly, please use
good judgment when employing the mirror.
