Section 1: General Information
1.1. DESCRIPTION
The FB3000 Highway System provides a standard
“Pay-to-Weigh”
service,
re-
weigh
and
multi-platform weighments
, as well as individual platform values.
The system operates in one of three modes.
•
Highway System Mode –
The Default Operating Mode that provides
Fairbanks Scales standard truck weighing services.
•
In/Out Mode –
Allows a vehicle weigh twice to calculate the net load amount,
or to use a Stored Tare Weight Value to determine the net weight.
•
Enforcement Mode –
Used to determine if a vehicle and its individual axle
weights are legal, based on configurable weight values.
The FB3000 Highway System can be divided into four separate applications.
•
User Interface –
Translates computer language into a usable English format
(or another).
•
Data Collection & Reporting –
Maintains the database information
required by the Highway System User Interface Application.
•
Weigh Kernel –
The primary underlying weighment program that interfaces
directly with the scales.
•
Error Logging –
Used for quality control and for troubleshooting errors.
The
Highway System Application
is specifically designed and intended for multi-platform
truck scale weighing.
