TOOLS REQUIRED:
Test-probe
1. Open rear hatch. Temporarily remove the
rear threshold plate. On the passenger’s
side, temporarily remove the floor covers
and remove the storage tray d .
2. Partially remove the rear interior trim panel
on the passenger side of the vehicle. Several
trim panel fasteners will need to be removed to
remove the panels. Set aside all items removed
being careful not to damage parts.
3. Locate the vehicle’s 10-pin connector located
behind the rear interior trim panel. Check to see
that the mating surfaces of the vehicle harness
connectors match the 10-pin tow plug adapter
ends e .
4. Insert the 10-pin tow plug adapter and lock into
place. Be careful not to damage the locking tabs
and be sure that connectors are fully inserted
with locking tabs in place.
5. Locate the vehicle’s factory tow harness
connector behind the bumper. This harness will
have a connector that will mate to the end of the
tow plug fg .

6. Remove factory tow harness protective cap and
check to see if the mating surface is clean and
free of dirt, clean if necessary. Insert the tow
plug into the connector. Be careful not to damage
the locking tabs and be sure that connectors are
fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
WARnInG
All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector to function properly. Test and
verify installation with a test light or trailer once
installed. For initial test, reset vehicle electrical
system by temporarily removing the key from
the ignition.
7. Secure all loose wires and mount the Trailer
Tow Harness in an accessible location with a
bracket or electrical box (not included). Reinstall
the plastic trim panels, threshold, storage covers,
floor covering and other items removed during
installation, being careful not to pinch or cut
the wires.
WARnInG
Overloading circuit can cause fires. DO NOT
exceed lower of towing manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light/backup: 1 per side
(2.1 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (5.6 amps)
