1. From underneath the vehicle, locate the
T-connector harness. Locate the vehicle
tow plugs, located near the driver’s side
rear tire. d.
2. Tow Plug Replacement
A. Remove the original OEM wiring har-
ness from connector e. All connector
surfaces should be clean and free of
dirt.
New Installation
A. Remove the protective cap from con-
nector. All connector surfaces should
be clean and free of dirt.
3. Connect the T-Connector end to the vehi-
cle’s mating connector. Be careful not to
damage the locking tabs and be sure that
connectors are fully inserted with locking
tabs in place.
4. Nissan Xterra without Tow Package
A. Taillight function on the tow plug will not
work unless an OEM relay harness (not
included) is purchased. See Nissan
Dealer for more information.
5. Plug the 7-way socket (provided) into the
Trailer Tow Harness. Route 7-Way to the
center of vehicle. Mount the 7-Way end
in an accessible location with a bracket or
electrical box (not included). Secure the
remainder of the T-connector harness with
the cable ties provided, to prevent damage
or rattling and being careful to avoid any
areas that would cut or pinch the wire.

WARNING
All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector to function properly. Test and
verify installation with a test light or trailer
once installed.
WARNING
Overloading circuit can cause fires. DO
NOT exceed lower of vehicle manufacturer
rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light: (10 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (10 amps)
• Max. backup: (10 amps)
• Max. power circuit: (20 amps)
• Max. trailer brakes: 3 Axles/6 brakes
(18 amps)
