Lower exhaust system at the rear rubber isolator leaving the rubber isolator in place on the vehicle. Spraying a lubricant on the metal hanger
rod and the rubber isolator helps removal

Insert the carriage bolt and spacer through the tow hook.

Lift hitch into position, passengers side first. Place crosstube over top of tail pipe. Rotate into position on the outside of the frame rail. It may
be necessary to pull the fascia gently out of the way.

Raise the drivers side of the hitch up so it’s on the outside of the frame rails and in front of bulkhead (rotate as needed). Once again, it may be
necessary to pull the fascia gently out of the way.
5.
Raise hitch into position behind end panel and fasten to tow hook with conical washer and hex nut. Hand tighten.
6.
Attached remaining fasteners as shown.
7.
Push hitch toward the rear of the vehicle.
8.
Tighten all fasteners to the required torque specification.
9.
Reattach rubber muffler hanger.

Tighten all M10 CL 8.8 fasteners with torque wrench to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N*M)
Tighten all 7/16-14 GR5 fasteners with torque wrench to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M)
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5
and SAE J684.
