UNIVERSAL COOLING SYSTEM
PRESSURE TESTER
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESSURE
TESTING COOLING SYSTEM
Always assure that the cooling system is depressurized and cool prior
to removing the cooling system cap and operating this cooling system
pressure test kit. DO NOT operate this cooling system pressure test kit
when the cooling system is hot, or may result in serious burns. Always
assure that the universal test adapter is tightened securely in the
cooling system inlet prior to pressurizing. DO NOT pressurize the
cooling system exceeding the pressure recommended by the vehicle
manufacturer or the maximum operating pressure of the test kit of 24
psi (1.65 bar). Failure to read and follow all warnings and operating
instructions may result in damages and serious injury or death.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESSURE
TESTING HAND PUMP ASSEMBLY
• Remove hand pump assembly from test kit and pressure test the
hand pump prior to pressure testing the cooling system.
• Pump the hand pump handle until reaching 20 psi (1.4 bar). DO
NOT EXCEED 24 psi (1.65 bar). If the pressure reading on the
gauge does not drop, the pump assembly is free from leaks, and will
assure that any drop in pressure while testing the cooling system is
due to a leak in the cooling system.
• After pressure testing the hand pump is completed, release the
pressure by pushing the orange release valve button at the end of
the hose until the gauge reads 0. The hand pump is now ready for
testing the cooling system.
WARNING
Pump body with ribbed
design for anti-slip
operation.
Pressure release valve with highly
visible orange button for quick
pressure release.
Pressure gauge positioned
for convenient display of
pressure reading.
Quick coupler allows for
quick and easy connection
of pump and test adapters.
1. Remove the radiator cap after assuring that
the cooling system is depressurized and cool.
2. Choose the most suitable universal adapter
to fit into the cooling system inlet.
4. Expand the universal adapter rubber seal by
holding the top hex with the fixed handle
socket wrench, while turning the hex nut
clockwise with the open end wrench until the
rubber seal is tightened securely into the
cooling system inlet.
3. Expand the universal adapter rubber seal by
turning the hex nut clockwise with the open
end wrench, while holding the top hex with
the fixed handle socket wrench until the
rubber seal fits snug in the cooling system
inlet. Install the universal adapter into the
cooling system inlet while pressing down
using the fixed handle socket wrench.
