Maintenance
Regular maintenance is required with Argus outdoor enclosures. Checks and adjustments are recommended to
ensure optimum system performance. Qualified service personnel should do repairs.
The following table lists a few maintenance procedures for this system.
WARNING: HIGH VOLTAGE AND SHOCK HAZARD.
Use extreme care when working inside the enclosure/shelf while the system is energized.
Do not make contact with live components or parts.
Circuit cards, including RAM chips, can be damaged by static electricity. Always wear a grounded

10.1 Rectifiers
It is recommended that every five years MOV surge suppressors be replaced (especially in areas of high lightning
activity).
See Cordex rectifier manual for general maintenance information.
10.2
Power Equipment Compartment Fans and Filters
Clean (wash with water and reuse) the primary and secondary air intake filters every 2 to 6 months.
Replace the secondary fan filters every 2 to 6 months.
The top rear access panel also has a filter (and screen), which should be inspected and cleaned (washed with
water) for reuse at least once a year.
10.3
Battery/Customer Equipment Compartment Air Conditioner and Filter
10.3.1 Air Conditioner Settings
The air conditioner is programmed with the factory default settings.
Refer to the air conditioner manual (supplied with the system) for operation and maintenance details.
10.3.2 Air Conditioner Filter
Air conditioners fail due to lack of maintenance, specifically dirty filters. Initially this filter should be checked
frequently (every 2 to 6 months) until a proper maintenance schedule is developed.
IMPORTANT
It is recommended that filter maintenance be promptly scheduled, to eliminate failure possibilities.
