8. When the breaker is lined up with the compartment, raise the breaker only slightly higher than the
compartment floor, keeping it at slight angle.
9. Open the compartment door, if not already opened, to install the breaker in the cassette, ( Figure 30 ).

10. After you open the compartment door, check that the cassette is free from obstruction. Figure 30
displays the racking assembly, supporting the new retrofill breaker.
11. Remove any padlocks and keep the key in place for key locks if applied from the racking panel of
the cassette.
12. Verify that the cassette position indicator shows DISCONNECTED and the racking handle is
disengaged.
13. Ensure that the cassette racking cams on both side walls of the cassette are in the completely
racked-out position as shown in Figure 31 .
14. Pull out the two racking arms (or loading/cassette rails) to their full extent, horizontal to the ground
( Figure 31).
