METAL FASCIA SYSTEM

Description:

The Duro-Last

®

Metal Fascia System may be used as

a perimeter detail for the Duro-Last roofing system and
as termination on rectangular penetrations. The system
consists of a bar and snap-on metal cover. The system
is listed by FM Approvals as a Class 1 perimeter
flashing with the 1.75 inch (44 mm) wide system
achieving a Class 1-990 and the 4 inch (102 mm) wide
system achieving a Class 1-825.

The fascia bar is fabricated from rigid exterior vinyl
with pre-punched slotted holes 6 inches (152 mm)
on center. The bar is 10 foot long and available in
two widths: 1.75 inch (44 mm) and 4 inch (102 mm).
The bar is only available in white color.

The metal cover is 10 foot long and available in
24-gauge galvalume steel with 35 stocked finishes
as well as in these specialized metals:

*

.040 aluminum with Kynar finish.

*

.040 aluminum with mill finish.

*

16-oz. copper.

*

24-gauge stainless steel.

*

24-gauge bonderized (paintable) steel.

Contact Duro-Last, Inc. to request a color chart,
samples and information regarding custom metals
and finishes.

Installation:

1. The 1.75 inch (44 mm) wide fascia bar must be

fastened 6 inches (152 mm) on center, maximum.

2. The 4 inch (102 mm) wide fascia bar must be

fastened 6 inches (152 mm) on center, maximum.
The fastening may be along one row of holes or
staggered along three rows.

3. It is required to leave a ¼ inch (6.3 mm) gap

between sections of the fascia bar.

4. The fascia cover should be installed so that the

joints between sections are offset a minimum of

12 inches (25 mm) from the joints between sections

of the fascia bar.

5. Adjacent sections of cover are designed to overlap.

No joint clips are required.

6. Apply Duro-Caulk® Plus along the top of the fascia

bar.

7. Refer to detail drawings 3500 and 3510 for

installation information when roof system is

mechanically attached or FA3500 and FA3510

when the roof system is fully adhered.

8. The fascia system may not be installed as a

gravel/water stop.

9. All vertical applications require Duro-Caulk Plus to

be applied on both sides of fascia bar.

Note:

Fascia bar and metal cover are ordered separately
in 10 foot lengths. They will be packaged in

cardboard tubes or wooden crates.

The cover is shipped with a protective plastic film
which should be removed prior to installation.

To clean the metal cover use soap and water (i.e.

1/3 cup laundry detergent per gallon of water).
