2.6 ASSIGNING A KEYWORD TO A MEDIA

Keywords can be assigned to media (log, clip or playlist) when it is created or
edited.

You can choose to add keywords from a keyword grid or from a dictionary. When
the media is being created or edited and the corresponding window (create or edit)
is opened, proceed as follows:

1.

Open the relevant keyword grid or the relevant dictionary.
The Apply button of the keyword grid should be active (highlighted).

Otherwise, click the New/Edit window again.

2.

Click the keyword.

It is added to the media window and it is highlighted in the keyword grid or
dictionary.

3.

To remove a keyword, click it again in the keyword grid or dictionary.
It is removed from the media window.

Note

The Edit mode must be inactive.

When you work with the Keyword Grid tool, you can assign keywords using the

keyword numbers associated with each keyword of the grid. They allow a fast
selection of the keyword.

To assign a keyword to a log or clip using the keyword number, proceed as
follows:

1.

Open the relevant keyword grid and select View > Keyword Numbers to
view the numbers associated to each keyword.

2.

Open the Create/Edit Log, Create/Edit Playlist or New/Edit Clip window of
the media in IPDirector.

The Apply button should become active (highlighted) in the keyword grid.
