To add new keywords to a dictionary, proceed as follows:
1.
Open a dictionary via the File > Open menu of the Dictionary window.
2.
Click the Edit button to active the Edit mode.
The Keyword field and Add button are displayed at the top of the Dictionary
window.
3.
To add new keywords, do one of the following:
•
To insert a keyword at the root of the dictionary, type the word into the
Keyword field and click Add or immediately press ENTER on the
keyboard.
•
To insert a child keyword, select the parent keyword and type the child
keyword into the Keyword field. Then click Add or immediately press
ENTER on the keyboard.
4.
To add existing keywords
•
To insert a keyword at the root of the dictionary, select the keyword in
the Keyword field and press the Add button
•
To insert a child keyword, select the parent keyword and select the
keyword in the Keyword field. Then click Add.
You can add as many keywords as you want in any of the tree branch.
Note
All new keywords added in a dictionary are automatically inserted in the
database and can be used in keywords grids or other dictionaries.
