What’s New
in Version 2.14?
The following table describes the sections updated to reflect the new and modified
features on XFile Version 2.14 (compared to XFile Version 2.13).
In the user manual, the icon
has been added on left margin to highlight
information on new and updated features.
Click the section number (or the description) in the table to jump directly to the
corresponding section.
Section Description
Session Configuration - Tab 1 - Autobackup / Tab 3 –
Manual Backup / Tab 7 – XML, and Backup Mode - How to
Perform a Multi-Selection for Manual Backup:
A Browse button has been added to enable the users to
select the destination path folder.
Configuration
Manual Backup - How to Modify the Default Filename
Format String: possibility to include the Video Codec
parameter in the filename format string.
Tab 7 – XML: possibility to select MXF OP1A (Std
SMPTE) as XML backup output file format.
Tab 8 – User Parameters: the 'AutoRetry when Starting
Autobackup’ parameter has been removed from the
interface as it was no more useable.
Folders: updated process to filter the XFile
list on the Backup folder in Autobackup and Manual
Backup modes. The notion of session folder has been
removed.
Video Codecs: the list of supported video
codecs has been updated. SD DVCPRO 50, HD MPEG2
Intra, DVCPRO HD and HD AVC Intra have been added;
HD MPEG2 I Field has been removed.
File Format: the list of supported file formats
has been updated. AVI has been removed.
