4. Special functions
4.1 Setting the across the card adjustment
If the ATR 440 does not print in the center of each column across the
card, the printing location may be adjusted. See the time card
adjustment chart on page 15 for suggested spacing settings for selected
time cards.
Open the top cover. The digital display reads P1.
Press the PRO button twice. The display should
now read P3.
Press the F2 button. Use the + or - button to move the printing
location by the desired value. The initial value or amount the
printing will move across the card is 50. Increase the value to
move the printing to the right. Decrease the value to move the
printing to the left. Increasing the value by 1 moves the print
0.005" to the right. Decreasing the value by 1 moves the print
0.005" to the left. Press the E button to accept the value and
register the setting.
4.2 Setting up/down adjustment
If the ATR 440 does not print in the center of the row down the card,
the printing location may be adjusted. See the time card adjustment
chart on page 15 for suggested spacing settings for selected time cards.

Press the F5 button. Use the + or - button to move the printing
location by the desired value. The initial value or amount the
