Acuta 4/4S provide one function to protect the data security. Please refer to below procedure
to set the password security:
Before create new RAID, user must make sure all data have been backup ready
because all data will be erased after execute” create new RAID” action.
1. Ensure 4 hard drives installed into
ACUTA 4/4S subsystem and power on,
then the LCD will display the message
“Create New RAID?”
2. Press
Enter button to choose YES then
the subsystem will start creating a RAID .

Next, the LCD will display “Set Password
ON? “. Press Enter button to choose
YES to execute password setting, then
the subsystem starts rebuilding ???.
4.
After initialization finished , the ACUTA
4/4S subsystem will reboot and the LCD
will display “SET PASSWORD” , here,
please input 4 digit numbers into system
as a password . After that,
“Congratulations!” will be showed on
LCD which means the password has
been set up ready.
5. From now on, when ACUTA 4/4S
subsystem reboot, the LCD will display
“INPUT PASSWORD” which means the
system’s security mechanism is started.
When ACUTA 4/4S subsystem reboot, user must input 4 digit numbers into
system each time . If the input password is different with default password
(same as Step 4) , after tried with 5 times, the system will be locked . User must
power on again. If it’s always not success, please contact with your vendor.
