The Grand Tour
This chapter identifies the various components of your computer. Become
familiar with each component before you operate the computer.
Front with the display closed
The following figure shows the computer’s front with its LCD display panel
in the closed position.

Certain notebook chassis are designed to accommodate all possible
configurations for an entire product series. Your select model may not have
all the features and specifications corresponding to all of the icons or
switches shown on the notebook chassis, unless you have selected all
those features.

This infrared port is compatible with Infrared Data
Association (IrDA 1.1) standards. It enables
cableless 4 Mbps, 1.15 Mbps, 115.2 kbps, 57.6
kbps, 38.4 kbps, 19.2 kbps or 9.6 kbps data
transfer with IrDA 1.1 compatible external
devices.
