RIGID PIPE VENTING ARRANGEMENTS - HORIZONTAL TERMINATIONS
REGENCY ® DIRECT VENT SYSTEM (FLEX) (Propane & Natural Gas)
The shaded areas in the diagram show all allowable combinations of vertical runs with horizontal terminations. The chart below shows the
distances with one 90
o bend (two 45 o elbows equal one 90 o elbow). For a second 90 o bend, see the "Rigid Pipe Venting Arrangements - Horizontal
Terminations" section.
Note: Must use optional rigid pipe adaptor (Part # 510-994)
when using rigid pipe venting systems.
Rigid Pipe Systems:
4"(100mm) inner diameter
6-5/8"(168mm) outer diameter
Regency ® Flex:
4"(100mm) inner diameter
6-7/8"(175mm) outer diameter
• Rigid Pipe Systems: Maintain a 1-1/4"(32mm) clearance to combustibles
• Regency ® Flex: Maintain a 1-1/2"(38mm) clearance to combustibles
• Horizontal vent must be supported every 3 feet (0.9 meter)
• Firestops are required at each fl oor level and whenever passing through a wall
A vent guard may be required, check local codes.
