Step 2: Installing iCN Application
This function allows you to install smartMAP™ software into a brand new iCN 620 unit, or to upgrade existing software
to a newer version. Before beginning, make sure the unit is connected to the computer via the USB port – refer to the
previous section Connecting the iCN 620 to Your Computer for more information. (Your unit is correctly connected if the
display shows a computer and iCN 620 unit connected together).
1 Click iCN Application from the Main Menu.
2 This is a two-step process. Firstly you must install the software, then you must register the installation in order to
activate the application.
3 Click on Install Application.
4 The installation may take several minutes to complete. Please do not open other applications on your computer
during this installation.
5 Now you must register your installation so that your software will activate. To do this, you need to have an internet
connection. Click on Activate Software.
You will need to have
Microsoft Internet
Explorer version 5.5
or above to correctly
activate the software.
