y TCP/IP Network Setup
In the default configuration, PLANET WLS-1280 will assign an appropriate IP address to a client PC which uses
DHCP to obtain IP address automatically. Windows 95/98/2000/XP configures IP setup to “Obtain an IP
address automatically” in default settings.
If you want to check the TCP/IP setup or use a static IP to connect to PLANET WLS-1280 LAN port, please
follow the following steps:
‹ Check the TCP/IP Setup of Window XP
1. Select Start > Control Panel > Network
Connection.
2. Click the right button of the mouse on the “Local
Area Connection” icon and select “Properties”
3. Select “General” label and choose “Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP)” and then click Properties.
Now, you can choose to use DHCP or specific IP
address, please proceed to the following steps.
