The Instant Messages screen displays. The phone number or URL you
entered or selected displays on the screen.
3. Do one of the following:
— To choose from various pre-scripted short messages, press the Select
soft key. From the Message Select screen, scroll to the message you
want.
or
— To compose a custom message, press the Edit soft key. Then, enter
your message. (To enter a message, see Navigating Menus and
Entering Data on page 1-10 .)
4. Press the Send soft key.
5. Press to return to the idle screen.
Restarting the Phone

Periodically, you may need to restart your phone so your phone can accept a
new configuration.
Note If your phone malfunctions, you may be able to restore normal operation without
restarting it. Before you restart your phone, contact your system administrator.
Note Call lists are automatically cleared when you restart your phone.
