÷ The DVD disc being played does not contain the recording of
more than one audio (or subtitle) language.
÷ The DVD disc being played does not contain the recording of
more than one angle.
÷ If you have forgotten the password, return the setting contents
to the factory default condition. D
÷ The DVD disc being played does not contain the recording of the
selected voice or subtitle language.
÷ The menu language function (MENU) is not set to desired lan-
guage. Select disc menu language. j
÷ The VCD disc being played is not compatible with P.B.C.
Menu playback is available only with VCD discs recorded with
P.B.C.

÷ If "On-screen display" is set to "Off", set it to "On". I
÷ Please perform operation according to the software, as the op-
eration for a DVD or Video CD may be limited according to the
intention of the software creator. In some cases, the operation
may be restricted because of the condition of this unit.
÷ Confirm the switching of the screen size of the connected TV/the
adjustment for the vertical screen size.
÷ Playback of a JPEG file not compatible with this unit is being
tried. Please refer to "Types of playable discs". *
÷ Pull the power plug from the wall outlet and insert it again while
pressing the key.
Remedy
DVD/CD player section
The voice (or subtitle) language cannot be changed.
The viewing angle cannot be changed.
The parental level cannot be changed.
The voice or subtitle language selected in the
initial setting is not played.
Menu screen messages are not shown in the
desired language.
A VCD cannot be played using menus.
When an operation is performed, no message
is displayed on the TV screen.
The prohibition icon is displayed and operation
is not accepted.
The subtitles are cut off.
"This type of file can't be decoded." is displayed
on the TV screen and playback is not possible.
"LOCKED" is displayed when the DVD/CD 0 key
is pressed and the disc is not ejected.
Symptom
÷ Replace with new batteries. &
÷ Operate the unit inside the remote controllable range. &

Remote control operation is not possible.
