Dialing Emergency / Special Numbers
Note: An emergency or special number must be manually dialed,
but can be dialed anytime even if the phone is locked or outgoing
calls are totally limited.
To dial an emergency or special number:
1. Enter the emergency / special number (up to 10 digits) by
pressing the digit keys.
2. Press to place the call.
Over The Air Service Provisioning (OTASP)
Your Samsung 2500 Series Phone is capable of being programmed
“over the air” by your service provider. Your carrier will provide you
further information on this feature. During an over-the-air
programming session, your phone may display the following
messages on the LCD:
• “Search ... Download” means the phone is looking for the data
to download.
• “ Progress Download” means the phone is downloading data.
Do not turn off the phone while this is occurring.
• “Download Success” means your phone has been successfully
reprogrammed. If “Download Fail” appears, talk to your carrier.

hree Emergency numbers (911, *911, and #911) are permanently
rogrammed into your phone. The Security menu provides the
ption of storing three additional Special numbers. Each Special
umber can be up to ten digits long.

anually dialed at any time even if your phone is locked or all
utgoing calls are limited.
ote: By default, emergency services number 911 is also stored in
emory location 9. This allows you, from standby mode, to
ne-touch turbo dial to 911 emergency services simply by pressing
nd holding the key. If desired, you can store a different
umber into memory location 9, but this is not recommended.
Storing Special Numbers
o store special numbers:
1. Press to display the Main menu.
2. Press for Security and enter the Lock Code.
3. Press for Special #.
4. Press the associated digit key to select a location for the
special number.
5. Enter the emergency / special number by pressing the digit
keys.
6. Press to save the number in the selected location.
