Your phone has an infrared inter-
face. You can use this to exchange
data (e.g. address entries, business
card, notes) with other devices that
are also equipped with an infrared
interface.
The infrared interface is on the left
side of the phone. The infrared ports
of the sending and receiving devices
must be pointing at each other and
the distance between them must not
exceed 30 cm.
To send an item via Infrared, you
must first select it in its application.

Items received via infrared are stored
in the Inbox , p. 30.

To use your phone as a fax modem,
you first have to establish a connec-
tion to an other device via Infrared or
Bluetooth™.
Connecting via Infrared
To activate the connection via
Infrared:
Options K K K K Connect
To disconnect an established
connection:

Press Disconn.
Connecting via Bluetooth™
The connection must initiated by the
remote device side.
The control of the connection hap-
pens via the Bluetooth™ application
(p. 78).
