Using the Options Menu

4 Scroll down using the
ª key to Password: and press O
to select it. You will be prompted to enter the Password. Press
and hold
C to clear the field and enter the Password which
may be provided by your ISP. (Press
$ to toggle between
the available text entry methods, Num (Numerical), alpha
(alphabetical) and Sym (Symbols) (see ‘Entering Text on Your
Phone’). When you select Sym a symbol will only be entered
for one character, after which the text entry method returns
to the previously selected entry method. As you enter a letter
the phone will briefly display the letter and then change to an
asterisk (*) for security purposes. After entering the Password
press
O. You will return to the previous screen.
5 Scroll down using the
ª key to Baud Rate: and press
O to select it. You can choose between 2400, 4800, 9600
and 14400. After selecting the required baud rate press O.
You will return to the previous screen.
6 Scroll down using the
ª key to Line Type: and press
O to select it. You can choose between Modem and ISDN.
After selecting the required Line Type press
O. You will
return to the previous screen.
7 Press
$ to return to the Profile options screen.
Editing the Profile Name
1 Scroll down using the
ª key to Profile Name: and press
O to select it. You will be prompted to Edit Name. Press
and hold
C to clear the field and enter the name you wish
to give this profile. Press
$ to toggle between the available
text entry methods (see ‘Entering Text on Your Phone’). After
entering the Profile Name press
O. You will return to the
previous screen.
2 Press
$ to return to the Profile Selection screen.
3 Press
C to return to the Access Internet screen.
4 To exit the Browser Menu, press
$ twice and then the
Smart button.
Storing your phone number in your phone
1 To store your phone number in the phone, press
$, then
scroll to Phone Book and press
O. Scroll to My Phone
Number(s) press O and enter your mobile no. including
the + and the country code. For example, +44 [your
number].
2 Press and hold the
C key to exit the Phone Book Menu.
