C4630 SE HOME AUDIO SYSTEM

Programming C4630 SE Keypad Macros

All commands executed by the C4630 SE Main and Numeric Keypads must be programmed into the the buttons as macros.
Even the Main Keypad functions that operate “out-of-the-box” (see page 23 and

Note 4, below) are actually macros that

have been factory-programmed into the buttons. Macros can range in complexity from single C4630 SE internal functions
all the way to extremely sophisticated procedures that involve C4630 SE internal commands, IR commands to various
system components, timing delays, RS-232 commands and conditional instructions.

is covered on page 47). Each

of these different actions can be programmed with
its own function or macro. Once a button has

ent C4630 SEs (if the system has more than one).

General Macro Programming Notes:

1) There is no P

OWER

ON button or command.

Pressing a Source Select button in an inactive
zone will turn the zone ON in addition to
selecting the source component.

2) Any time a macro is programmed to a button

in the P

RESS

level, it is necessary to include

the C4630 SE Internal Command for that button’s default function (see

Internal Commands, on page 38). For example,

when programming a macro for a CD source select button that will select S

OURCE

2 in Z

ONE

1, delay 2 seconds and

include a P

LAY

command to be routed to Programmed IR Port 2, the macro would be:

SS tt ee pp 1

1 :: II nn tt ee rr nn aa ll C

C oo m

m m

m aa nn dd // [[ TT hh ii ss U

U nn ii tt ]] [[ TT hh ii ss ZZ oo nn ee ]] SS ee ll ee cc tt SS oo uu rr cc ee 2

2

SS tt ee pp 2

2 :: PP aa uu ss ee ff oo rr 2

2 SS ee cc oo nn dd ss

SS tt ee pp 3

3 :: PP oo rr tt 2

2 // [[ BB rr aa nn dd // C

C D

D PP ll aa yy ee rr // M

M oo dd ee ll #

# ]] // PP ll aa yy

3) It is necessary to include the Port number and use the P

ROGRAMMED

IR jacks when using multiple same-brand same-model

components, such as two identical CD Changers. (The default P

ROGRAMMED

IR Port settings match the four input sources:

Programmed IR Port 1 = Source 1, etc.)
