C4630 SE HOME AUDIO SYSTEM
Optional C4630 SE IR Remote Control
(see Figure 24)
NOTE: The C4630 SE does not have a built-in IR
receiver. To use the optional remote control you must
f irst connect an IR receiver (available separately).
See Main Ke ypad IR R eceiver Holster, on page 19.
The buttons on the optional C4630 SE IR remote will perform the
same functions as the correspondingly-named buttons on the Main
and Numeric Keypads (see
Figure 14, on page 18). Additionally,
the remote also has an A LL OFF button and an OK button.
A A LL LL O OFFFF BB uutttt oonn:: Pressing the A
LL O FF button will turn-OFF all
zones in the system, including any zones being run by additional
C4630 SEs that are connected via their S
YNC connections (see
page 16).

OK K BBuuttttoonn:: The OK button provides a discrete confirmation
command for use with devices requiring that an additional
“select” or “enter” command following a numeric button entry.
NOTE: The remote’s keypad is covered with a removable
film to protect it during manufacture and shipping.
C4630 SE “Out-Of-The-Box” Functions
Without additional programming via the Sonance Control
Manager, the C4630 SE has very limited functionality. The
following functions are available “out-of-the-box” through the
C4630 SE Main Keypad (see
Figure 14, on page 18) and the optional IR remote:

M Muuttee:: P RESS the Mute button to Mute/un-Mute the local zone; P RESS -A ND -H OLD the M UTE button to Mute/un-Mute all zones
designated for PARTY MODE.

RESS one of the four Z ONE S OURCE S ELECT buttons to select that source in the local zone. P RESS -A ND -
H OLD one of the four zone source select buttons to select that source in all zones designated for PARTY MODE. Pressing a
S OURCE S ELECT button in a zone that is OFF will turn that zone ON.
ZZoonnee O OFFFF:: P RESS the Zone OFF button to turn the local zone OFF.
The Numeric Keypad will not function unless the C4630 SE is programmed via the Sonance Control Manager.
NOTE: These “Out-Of-The-Box” functions can also be operated from the optional C4630 SE
IR R emote Control if an IR receiver is installed in one of the Main Ke ypads (see page 19).
